CoccoleBimbi has always been attentive to the issue of sustainability and respect for animals. In an era in which environmental awareness is an increasingly fundamental topic, CoccoleBimbi is committed with its choices to raising awareness of nature and the relationship that animals and children can establish from an ethical and conscious perspective.
The Bio-Farm
A place where CoccoleBimbi loves to return and which represents a meeting point between nature, animals and children is the Sanctuary l Racconti del Carrubo, towards which CoccoleBimbi and Cesare Morisco continue to demonstrate their support over the years.
I Racconti del Carrubo is a project made in Puglia, an eco-sustainable farm where the founders Debora and Fabio offer a second chance to all those animals that have been abandoned. Here they receive all the necessary care while living in complete freedom.
The entire farm is built in green building according to the principles of natural architecture using only ecological materials, available at zero km and capable of guaranteeing a healthy and comfortable environment.
Among the animals housed in this Sanctuary we find donkeys, dogs, cats, chickens, pigs and rabbits.
Cookie's Story
Together with Cesare we meet Cookie, a honey-colored ram rabbit who was welcomed after a family who had purchased him from a fair decided to get rid of him after a short time due to the daily commitment it entailed. A story common to many animals who fortunately meet the sensitivity of people like Debora and Fabio.
Cookie was thus introduced into the large family of I Racconti del Carubo; they built for him a protected and comfortable refuge; thanks to the right attention and sensitivity, Cookie receives the necessary care and has the opportunity to spend his days in complete freedom in nature.
Among their peculiar characteristics, rabbits have the particularity of being extremely sensitive, affectionate and intelligent. For this reason Cookie is involved in Pet Therapy activities that I Racconti del Carrubo carries out throughout the year. In fact, Debora organizes numerous meetings between children and farm animals such as Cookie. Here, while ensuring perfect respect and well-being of each animal and its sensitivity, together with specialists in the sector, it allows us to start assisted therapy days. Specifically, Cookie, thanks to his affectionate and playful character, accepts the child's caresses and attention, stimulating the development of his contact communication skills. It therefore turns out to be a true emotional mediator within a positive, relaxing and fun experience that allows the development of the child's cognitive skills.
The activities of La Tribù del Carrubo
The Pet therapy activity is just one of the numerous initiatives that La Tribù del Carrubo association carries out during the year together with a multidisciplinary team of qualified professionals. During these activities, each animal, as well as the environment around it, becomes a special mediator in a playful/recreational context. Debora is committed to studying tailor-made programs, suited to the needs of anyone seeking a connection with animals and with their own person.
At I Racconti del Carrubo, therefore, among the activities carried out we find workshops, exhibitions, artistic laboratories and experimental ones that enhance learning and sociality in a context of biodiversity. These events are an opportunity to share stories and traditions as well as to allow children and others to rediscover their connection with nature.
