Little Cirrus, the first capsule collection by Falcotto x CoccoleBimbi
Falcotto and CoccoleBimbi present Little Cirrus, their first capsule collection dedicated to little ones and designed to support their first steps with style and comfort. The collection, which brings together Falcotto’s technical expertise and CoccoleBimbi’s aesthetic vision, was launched with an exclusive in-store event in Milan, where sneakers and sandals in eco-leather with playful and functional details were unveiled.

In the children’s footwear landscape, Falcotto has long been a point of reference for shoes designed for first steps, thanks to continuous research that combines design, high-quality materials, and a strong focus on the natural development of young children’s feet.
The brand is part of the Falc S.p.A. group, a historic Italian company with a long-standing tradition in children’s footwear manufacturing.
Among the new generations of the Ferretti-Luzi family involved in the brand’s development is Katherine Ferretti Luzi, who is actively engaged in projects focused on the brand’s evolution and its dialogue with selected creative and retail partners.
It is precisely from this vision that Little Cirrus was born—the first capsule collection developed together with CoccoleBimbi.
This collaboration resulted in a small capsule of sneakers and sandals, designed to support children in their first steps by combining Falcotto’s technical expertise with the aesthetic vision and stylistic sensitivity of CoccoleBimbi.
The result is a capsule that interprets the world of childhood with lightness and attention to detail, where comfort, functionality, and design come together in models created for little ones and their first explorations.
We spoke about this project and the birth of Little Cirrus with Katherine Ferretti Luzi.
1. How did the collaboration between Falcotto and CoccoleBimbi come about? What was the starting point that led you to envision a capsule collection together?
The collaboration came about very naturally. Falcotto is one of the historic brands in children’s footwear, while CoccoleBimbi has, over the years, become a true point of reference among stores dedicated to children’s fashion in Italy. We first met at the store in Rutigliano, and from the very beginning there was a strong connection and a shared desire to create something special together. What brings us together is a shared vision: a focus on the child, on quality, and on respect for nature—values that perfectly reflect the spirit of this capsule.
2. Falcotto has always paid close attention to foot development during first steps. How did you combine the technical and functional aspects with the creative dimension of the project?
Falcotto was born as a fashion brand, but has always placed great emphasis on the healthy development of a child’s foot during those first steps. We work closely with professionals to ensure that every model meets all the essential technical requirements, from structure to proper foot posture. In this project, we combined our expertise in the development of first-step footwear with a creative and fashion-driven dimension, which perfectly aligns with CoccoleBimbi—one of Italy’s leading destinations for high-end children’s fashion.
3. What are the distinctive elements of the capsule’s sneakers and sandals? For this collection, you chose a made in no-leather approach, focusing on eco-leather and alternative materials to traditional leather.
The distinctive elements of the capsule are прежде all the materials: both the sneaker and the sandal are made entirely from eco-leather, meaning no animal leather is used. It is a fully made in no-leather capsule—an approach that is perfectly aligned with the philosophy of CoccoleBimbi and that of its founder, Cesare Morisco. From a creative standpoint, we introduced the cloud detail, a signature symbol of CoccoleBimbi, and named the capsule Little Cirrus—a reference to the “cirrus” cloud that playfully and delicately reflects the store’s identity.
4. For a brand like Falcotto, a reference point in first-step footwear, what did it mean to open up to a collaboration for the very first time—and why specifically with CoccoleBimbi?
For us, it was important to partner with someone who is truly a point of reference in the children’s world. If we were going to open up to a collaboration, we wanted to do it with a strong and authoritative player like CoccoleBimbi, one of the most established and respected stores in Italy’s children’s fashion segment. Beyond positioning, what really convinced us was the alignment in values: the same attention to quality, product care, and material selection, combined with a shared sensitivity toward nature. We have a very similar approach to the world of children, and that’s exactly why the collaboration came about in such a spontaneous and natural way.
5. The world of childrenswear is constantly evolving. What are the most interesting trends in the first-step footwear segment today?
Children’s fashion is constantly evolving, but at its core there is always a fundamental principle: to protect and support the proper development of the foot, especially during the first steps. That’s why attention to foot health, the quality of materials, and great care in product development are essential. Among the most interesting trends, practicality clearly stands out: easy fastenings such as velcro or slip-on styles, as even the smallest details are designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. At the same time, there is growing attention to materials and sustainability. Finally, there is increasing room for a creative and playful dimension: products that are beautiful, bright, and fun—because children’s fashion should also convey joy.
The in-store event in Milan
In the heart of Milan, at the Naturino store, the launch event of the Falcotto x CoccoleBimbi Little Cirrus capsule took place— a special occasion designed to celebrate the meeting of two worlds dedicated to childhood.
Throughout the afternoon, the store came alive with mothers and children who took part in small creative workshops and enjoyed a vegan snack, creating a moment of sharing, play, and discovery.
The event also welcomed several figures from the creative and communication world, curious to discover the Little Cirrus capsule up close.
For the occasion, a dedicated space was set up for the collection, featuring props inspired by the iconic symbols of Falcotto and CoccoleBimbi, helping to create a delicate and dreamlike atmosphere, perfectly aligned with the capsule’s cloud-inspired imagery.
To close the afternoon, guests received a sweet gift: cloud-shaped cookies, decorated with the Falcotto x CoccoleBimbi logo.
